After checking the Apple website today, I've found a ton of new info
about the iPad. Seems Apple took the opportunity to counter some of
the criticism the iPad originally earned, especially with their SD/USB
attachment. The iPad is starting to look better and better everyday.
However, my glee about my upcoming purchase of an iPad will be
slightly dampened by the fact that it will be replacing my beloved
Pismo 500. After nearly two years of faithful service in my care, and
eight years for somebody else (from Florida, I believe), my Pismo is
my longest-held laptop. My other two Mac laptops, a tangerine
Clamshell and a Duo 230, were very quickly transferred over to my
younger siblings (the Duo's keyboard didn't work when I bought it in
2006, though it does now [after cleaning], and the Clamshell's battery
went flat). For once, I will be able to give somebody an old laptop in
great working condition, and it will be enjoyed for years to come.
Is anybody else here getting an iPad, and if so, how will that
affect your 'Book?
