I hear you. I have several different-sized laptops, and I find them all useful for different purposes, but my heart is with my 17" Big Al. More often than not, that's the one notebook I actually carry around -- which has forced me to find a really light and slim bag for it. The one thing brought by Intel Macs that has really grown on me, though, is glossy screens. For some reason, they are not nearly as reflective as the ones found in other brands --I remember a Dell Inspiron that was impossible to use anywhere near a bright light-- and colors are incredibly saturated (sumptuous is the word that comes to my mind.)
