My Pismo's going to be my family's first "family laptop".
As to the iPad, I'm going to be around so many powerful desktops,
both at home and school, that whenever I do need that productivity
power, I can just use one of those to do my grunt work. I've got most
of my important files stored in Dropbox, so moving from PC to Mac to
PC is a breeze. I'm not big on multitasking in class (and I probably
shouldn't be ;-) ). For typing, I'm going to buy an Apple Bluetooth
keyboard and iPad case… I've typed on the new Apple keyboards and
they're much better than any PC keyboards currently in production
(except for the old buckled-spring 'boards).
I don't really want the MacBook because of its battery life. Sure,
seven hours is decent, but ten just screams "eat my dust, all you PC
people with your two-hour battery lives and AC cables criss-crossing
the floor!" The iMacs at school are from January 2009—not spanking-
new, but nothing to sneeze at. We've got CS4 on them as well.
Another big feature is the new version of Brushes—I'm big on art,
and I'm rather tired of using a plug-in Wacom tablet. I want to finger-
paint! Oops, did I just say that out loud…

I hope that clears up some things, guys. I've done a lot of research
and thinking, and I'm definitely getting the iPad.
