Just looking at it, since it's so large, it seems awkward to hold and use and the same time.. I mean holding it with one hand and moving around the pages with the other hand... seems like it would be more comfortable to have to put it down on your legs or a table (propping it up somehow)...
But I heard it was FAST, to move from one and to another and to just use each app is FAST... .. but I do see that it is a bit expensive... for a table (oversized iPhone), a resonable cost would have been $299. Just my two cents. I purchased my iPad with an Apple Wireless Keyboard. This setup works great, even when my iPad is lying flat. I've used Pages to write a review about my iPad for my college newspaper, and my desktop/iPad theory was right. The iPad can really pump out great stuff with the AWK, but intensive editing is best done on a desktop. So iPad=field device, iMac=newsroom machine. Nonetheless, the iPad definitely replaces my Pismo very well. Plus, my sister, who's always wanted my laptop, finally gets to have it... along with the rest of my family.
