Bruce-- drat- but thanks- that is what I needed to know. Now that the new imac
does not support Apple Talk there is little (it seems it CAN be done, but...)
chance that the old laser printer can work with it...so I was hoping for the
wireless route (luckily- the printer port on the Wally matches the one for the
printer!!).

Nope, doesn't work; they're different IR standards.
