Resurrecting my topic here. My new screen and upper case should arrive
this week.

Found instructions on iFixit that start here:
http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Repair/Installing-PowerBook-G3-Pismo-Display/30/1

Noticed that on step 11 of page 4, it says to (link below)
"Step 11

* Lift the heat sink up from the left side and pull it out.
* If you need to mount the heat sink back into the laptop, we have a
thermal paste guide that makes replacing the thermal compound easy."

Here's that info that I pasted:
http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Repair/Installing-PowerBook-G3-Pismo-Display/30/4

The further info about using this paste is here:
http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Repair/Installing-Computer-Thermal-Paste/744/1

Where do I get thermal computer paste? I didn't buy it from the
seller.
Is it necessary?

Someone else noted something about exposure to toxic stuff when
installing the screen - from those who have worked on Pismos, is this
just hype, or have I reason to be concerned?
