I tried reinserting the RAM. No go. Still only half capacity. But
thanks for the tip.

Lube loss in the ZIP was something I didn't think of. And yes, it is
old, altho I've only used a few times in all these years and kept it
in a plastic bag until recently.

But I am reassured that these problems were coincidence and not
related to the bomb/crash etc.
