John About This Mac is reporting 1GB. Speed certainly feels like 1GB.

One more little thing Simon, once in a while check "About This Mac" to be sure the RAM reports to work:-) Also the TiBooks are supposed to have low density RAM, make sure the stick has 16 chips, some times they will see high density but a little iffy.
