Hi
Lombard 333Mhz cant play DVDs under OS9 as it requires a hardware codec.
Lombard 400Mhz can play DVDs under OS9 as it has a hardware codec
built in.
However, both should play DVDs under OSX as it has software playback
built in to the OS. Im not sure how well it would run, but it is
physically possible.
As the processor boards are interchangeable on the Lombards - as in
you can simple take out a 333mhz processor card and put in a 400mhz,
but this doesnt then give it DVD capabilities under OS9 as it is on
the logic board.

figure out why the DVD does not playback.
IMHO (but not for sure) you need a PCMCIA card marketed by apple to
play DVD's on powerbook, for sure wallstreet, probably lombard too.
