Hi again,

I tried that (as someone else mentioned, that isn't the optimale solution...
I'd like it to "know" which OS I'm using an open in the appropriate Word
version... but anyway) I changed 'Open With Application' to the OS 9 version
of Word for all .doc and .rtf files, but when I booted back into OS 9 and
double-clicked a Word file, I got that same message: "To use Microsoft Word
your computer must be running MacOS X 10.1 or later." I'm guessing that all
I've succeeding in doing is changing it so that in OS X, double-clicking a
Word file will launch Classic mode. :P I guess my only option left is
ResEdit? Any idea as to how to go about it? (And I know someone else said
that they think I should ditch one or the other version, but I do not want
to do that, at least not yet.)

Thanks again,
Amber
