Not really is my answer. I'm no authority on Beige G3s bit a browse of 
MacTracker shows that the only difference (as I think you said) is that 
you can get a 333Mhz G3 Mini-tower and not a 333Mhz Desktop. Apart from 
that I see not difference in spec. I think the Easy-open mini-tower case 
is nicer personally but I like tower cases.....
