Lol, ask all the people that have bought them? ;) Otherworld computing had
most of the stock, but they've been pretty much snatched up.
I know in the one I still have left, I couldn't put ATA controller in it
simply because I'd run out of room. It came with an ULTRA SCSI controller, a
10/100 ethernet card and I had two monitors on it. No more slots. A lot of
people who bought that high end config tower were probably in the same
situation, or something similar.
Plus, some of the other ram issues.

I buy most of my ram through DMS, and It's what they told me. I also found
confirmation of it at xllerate your mac (the website). Basically saying that
rev A's have trouble with DIMMS that were manufactured after a certain point
have problems. I believe it was when they started to go to high density
DIMMS?
Ie, I ordered 2 more 256 meg DIMMS from them, and saw they were much smaller
than the original 256meg DIMM I had in the machine (plus 2 128meg dimms).
When I put the 2 additional 256meg dimms in the machine, it wouldn't boot
(trying to get a total of 768). When I just had 2 of them (either the 2 new
ones or the old plus one of the new) it would boot. The tech support guy
said it was because I had a revision A, so I put them in a rev B desktop and
they all booted just fine.
Took the rev B rom from the desktop and put it in the tower, booted with all
3 dimms in just fine. Went to accelerate your mac and found others having
the same issues (in the forums, plus on their G3 page they have a big
article/warning about it).
