The only thing I would look out for is to have Rev B Rom Dimm, as it allows
master/slave configurations. The first G3 beige Desktops did not. I imagine
earlier Towers probably did not either.

In general ...
1) 233 and 266 DTs and MTs were Rev 1, and could not accommodate Slave drives,
2) 300 and faster DTs and MTs were Rev. 2 or 3, and could accommodate Slave
drives [ * ] ,
3) The DT and MT mobos are the same, but the power supplies are different;
the differences are accommodated by special jumpers on the mobo,
4) the MT's case is a shorter version of the 8600 and 9600 case; the 8600 and
9600 case holds more drives and has better cooling while the MT case doesn't;
5) the DT and MT are very tolerant of RAM and can accept just about any PC66,
PC100 or PC133 SDRAM you care to throw at it, in any combination and in any
order;
6) the DT and MT are the very last "old world" Macs, and the only such Macs
to support OS X, and
7) the DT and MT may be the most reliable machines Apple has yet made.
[ * ] But not without specially constructed cables, which Apple doesn't offer
for the DT at all, and which accommodate Bus 1 Slaves on the MT only.
