No snazzy business account, just 1024/256 up/down. > Now, where it can get tricky is if you have other stuff going on... This ADSL line provider will delete my three other IP nrs soon and want to give me a router for free instead, a Draytek Vigor 2200e. This router has a built-in 4 port 10/100 Ethernet switch, that's what you were talking about Mike :) According to the Draytek site <http://www.draytek.com.tw/product/router/2200e.htm> & <http://www.draytek.nl/vigor.php?show=2200e> I can use this for my local network, so no need to buy a switch or hub I think. *BUT* my ADSL ISP (who recommends that router BTW) says it won't be possible to play online games anymore with more than one PC/Mac at a time; and that you can't use applications like NetMeeting. Especially hosting servers, like I do for UT StrikeForce for the Dutch StrikeForce League, won't be possible anymore. Also apps like ICQ, MSN Messenger etc etc won't work anymore. *BUT2* after a lot of complaints (also from previous router users, also Draytek users who said it does work) my ADSL ISP admitted that the info they provided isn't completely true, and that they will change it. So I have to wait and see, before I say yes to getting that router (have the time until November 15th) If I don't, I can use those IPs until summer 2002, after that only one IP and no free router... :( -- Marc van Gemert | MacSonar Support Team http://www.macsonar.net | http://www.macdesk.net ------------------------------------------------- "Computer games don't affect kids.
