I have an SMC Barricade and it has provisions for running such things. IPNetRouter is fine for the advanced user that is willing to leave a computer turned on to provide access to other computers on your LAN. With routers in the $40 to $75 range (after rebates, etc) I would at least give one a try. You could always return it if it didn't work out.
