Hehehe I feel like I'm reading slashdot. :) I really have to agree with the router suggestion... You COULD put together a computer-based router for a cheap price, but unless your needs are very specialized or you have a spare machine lying around. Even then the software to do what you need to do isn't free ($40-$70?) unless you go for a unix solution, which can have its own hassles... And isn't the reason why most people use a mac anyways. :) A good router is very very cheap, a breeze to setup, new (lower chance of hardware failure, software crash, etc) suckers little energy (my electrical bill is awful) and uses very little space. I'd even go farther and suggest that if you have the means, & current macs, to get one with wireless support. Some routers even come witht he wireless component in a slot, so when the spec is upgraded, the router can be too. They aren't that expensive ($210-$369, apple's airport is $300) and it really does make the whole experience much much better (especially if you have a portable comp). -- Michael Bryan Bell http://homepage.mac.com/michael_bell/ -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
