Mehh it was only an idea...

Besides - would they bother on monitors? It strikes me the average 
user doesn't make 11000 changes to his/her monitor, I expect SOME 
people do but only if the monitor is moved between computers 
regularly.

Are FLASH ROMs the same thing as EEPROM (I kinda assumed the were, or 
at least similar)? If not they might use these...
