IBM's 75GXP was a loser, perhaps IBM's only bad drive in years, while IBM's
60GXP was a real winner. IBM's 120GXP appears to be a winner, too.

I've got several IBM 60GXPs (the 60 GB versions) and several Maxtor
DiamondMax Plus 60 (the 60 GB versions) and both are very fine drives ...
both directly-connected to a Mac's internal EIDE bus (in Beige G3s) and
connected through UATA/66 cards (in Beige G3s and in earlier PCI Macs, some
upgraded to G3/400s, others with 604e/200s or 604ev/300s).

IBM's 40GN is a real winner in G3 laptops (Wallstreet, etcetera).
