I would think that many long time Mac users would prefer Mac OS 9. OS X is a major change; it is not the simple OS that we are accustomed too. It is very beautiful and the icons look great . PC and Linux users would probably like it immediately. This is not to mention the cost of migrating to OS X. Lots of money, not even to mention getting a newer G4. I have slowly gotten used to it. I've done a lot of customizing to make it the way I like it. Fruit Menu, ASM and Window pane help to make me feel more comfortable. But I still spend the majority of time in OS 9. I doubt OS 9 will be dead that soon like some would like to believe. It will just take time and will be a slow process but eventually there will be basically no choice in terms of newer apps. I imagine too that alot of changes will occur in OS X as well. This is only the beginning. >I only use OS 9 now to retrieve documents with Appleworks from the 9 partition. Just wondering if you know that if you use Appleworks latest update, it will update AppleWorks 6 so that it also works in OS X (without running the Classic mode). I noticed that Acrobat writer 5 updater did the same thing. -- __________________________________________________________ Sign-up for your own FREE Personalized E-mail at Mail.com http://www.mail.com/?sr=signup Save up to $160 by signing up for NetZero Platinum Internet service. http://www.netzero.net/?refcd=N2P0602NEP8 -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
