Based on what I've read from this and other list that have something to do
with OS X, most problems seem to occur because of:
- Changing permissions without knowing quite what one is doing.
- Generally mucking around with UNIX commands without knowing
  quite what one is doing.
- Adding share/freeware programs that alter the some system function.
Many of them work fine but you are taking a chance.

Maybe I've just been lucky but besides installing programs and updates, I
leave the computer system alone and just use it to do what I need to do.
Even Microsoft products haven't given me trouble. Have I just been lucky or
is this the best course for keeping out of trouble?
