I started long before Macs. My first was an Apple //. I really began Graphics with the //GS. Little did I realize that what I was looking at then , in color at that, would become Mac OS. I am using in reality a machine that is almost as left behind as was the GS, ( BGE DT G3 ), and yet I am running the latest build of 10.1.5 and having zero known problems. X IS DIFFERENT. I agree, but have been all the way from the beginning with Mac OS . EVERY version has had its bugs. We die hards have had patience and persistance at times to wait. Apple has , so far, pleased most of us with their dilagence to strive for one step better. With X, I believe they jumped 3 or 4 steps, but too soon. The heat was on them to get X off the floor and into the stores. They buckled and turned it loose too fast. We've had several OS X updates in the recent past. From what we learned from those corrections and additions from 10.1 to 10.1.5 makes me feel that 10.2 should be something to really behold. I use osX just the same as I did OS 6 to 9.2.2 . I am studying Unix, command line, and the terminal , but have yet to use them. I have had my share of problems , but have only had to reinstall X but twice and those were my mistakes that led me to the necessity of reinstallations. X is impressive and I can wait for Jaguar............... NO I CAIN"T !!! Apple are you listening ? I need it Now !! Please send it to me. I need it.. I want to see it..... Sorry, I'm better now. I'm back in control. I took some seditives. I have talked to my councelor. Well, I left him a message on his answering machine , any way. Seems , he is out hunting Jaguars.
