Unfortunately, I can't get it to boot from any device. That's the 
problem.  My suspicion is that I might have corrupted the ROM since 
that's where the Open Firmware lives...

Good call though,  1gig partition is the first one.  If I can somehow 
get it booted I'll repartition.
