OK, I'm still having problems with the G3 bootup time, but ideas are coming in both off and on-list, if any work, I'll post them up.
Here's my latest question: Just got another beige G3 mini-tower, this one without a modem though. I have heard that many USB modems just can't sustain good download speeds (wanting 5kbps MIN), even though they connect well.
