I'm trying to get a game running (3D-Cruser from Little Tykes) for my kids on a Beige G3 Desktop 266/196MB/6Gig. The game states that it needs Open GL and an accelerated 3D video card with 8 meg of video ram. And I need it to run in Classic under 10.2, because my machine will not boot into 9.2.
When I try to run the game I just get an empty white screen I see from the system profiler that I have an ATY card named mach64_3Dupro, model ATY,GT-C with 2 meg of video ram. I believe that there is a slot on the motherboard to add video ram, can I just drop in a cheap 6 meg upgrade or would I need a whole new card? Is this game ever going to work at all on this machine? I tried the game on a PowerBook G4 Titanium and it worked fine under 9.2 and Classic. Thanks, -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
