I KNOW it's a pain to have to re-install OS X - especially 10.1 a it has so many damn updates - but it's really the only sound way. Give it a shot and see. FWIW I am starting to get a nasty aversion to ATA recently. I don't like the way my G3/400 grinds to a halt when I open a program because the ATA bus is loading the CPU with too many interrupts. I invested in a U2Wide card and am going to hang my beautiful pair of Seagate Cheetah 18XL U160 drives on it and see if things get a long a little better like that. -- Mark Benson AIM - SilValleyPirate Visit FlatPackMacs online: <http://fpm.gotdns.com> Mac LC Central My homepage: <http://homepage.mac.com/markbenson/> -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
