To be honest I find the opposite to be true. Are 3rd party lists huge 
helps for random things that are a mixture of 3rd party product 
compatibility and very specific circumstances but the LEM lists are 
generally more towards the people who do not look else where first. 
This is not always true of course but many is the time someone writes 
to ask a question having looked at no other resources. And often the 
answer comes from someone else looking up the solution in a tech 
library such as the Apple TIL.

George, please talk more about how you feel Apple's TIL is censored, I 
am not disagreeing, I think it is, I just want to know how you mean it.
