About 1.5 years ago, I tried to post what could (in extremis) be termed a tendentious message. The reply from the unnamed censor could only be ascribed to double-speak (see George Orwell, 20th cent. British author). In not posting the message, I was reduced to rewriting it but gave up. How could one's attempt to obtain information after the fact (after buying a Mac) be a threat to Apple? Our laws (so-called) don't protect us-see the OEM versus retail debacle. I called Mitsumi's HQ in Chicago - there was a local seller dealing 'refurbed Mitsumi oem CDRWs'. They flatly denied any knowledge of the existence of such drives. Apple will not admit its faults - there are too many of them. Where would you begin or more importantly - where would you stop (or when?)? Or the famous US judge's ruling many years ago - "corps. are answerable to no-one; as a legal entity they don't exist" (or similar wording). Over to you Dave, George
