What I mean by this is that they should have been introduced a long time ago in previous OS releases. A screensaver feature (as I heard) has been introduced in OS X, while PCs had that since the introduction of Windows. The troubleshooting utilities (support format of third party harddrives & such) have been slowly introduced into the Mac OS. Again have been available in the PC world for a long time. I say this cause my huband brings up the subject every so often and I sometimes can't say a word. He practically hates macs. In some cases Mac users need to buy third party software to be able to deal with some things. After Dark as screen saver, FWB HDT to format, Norton Utils for defragmenting & repairing disk structure and such. While it is true that through the years Apple has announced that Macs bring a lot of things that PC users need to get separately, there is indeed such things the other way around as well. Some people may bomb me about this but just sharing my feelings, after being a Mac freak for at least 12 years. BTW I do prefer Macs because of the uniqueness of their interface, even if it sometimes costs a little more. I also have to agree that if PCs bring those things is because they have to, since they are troublesome machines to begin with.
