Hello there

You are Wrong Wrong Wrong Wrong Wrong , etc

I have a B&W Yosemite ( V1) with an IDE 60GXP 7200 RPM 40GB / jumpered
for Master, connected directly to the MOBO IDE connector (and "stock"
IDE chip)

100% reliable operation

Two partitions - 4GB for OS9.2.1 and 35GB for OS 10.2.1

But Initialized and Partitioned using the "stock" Apple Drive Setup
Utility/ Apple drivers.

If you are experiencing "problems" its in the "cockpit" or the drive /
drivers you are using

Paul, you do not need to buy a PCI IDE controller unless, of course,
you want a second, internal backup drive, or need the storage space.

albert, my opinion only guy on the block
