Two good books, both from Oreilly press <http://www.oreilly.com>:

"Mac OS X the Missing Manual, 2nd Ed.", by David Pogue, has been 
updated for 10.2, and is an excellent book.

They also have "Learning Unix for Mac OSX" also the 2nd. Ed. due out in 
January, for when you want to explore the crunchy goodness of OS X'es 
Unix undepinnings..
