I have come into a Performa 5200 CD. It did not come with an operating system. I would like to use it as a separate searchable email achiever (eudora 3.0 pro)
I downloaded a 6.0.5 and tried to install. That failed. Looking around more, I sensed that I needed to use 7.0 or later for this computer. I downloaded all 19 parts of 7.5.3 onto my computer with the intention of putting each file on a separate floppy. If I'm getting the concept right, I think that's what you're suppose to do - and then install all 19 disks. I could not get part 1 on a floppy because I needed 1k more of space. And I did everything but spit nickels but I still couldn't figure out how to get that 1 k - even though it should be there. I went looking for an earlier version of 7 but couldn't find one. I then saw something that made me think I needed "system enabler 406" - which I downloaded - but don't see how it fits in. Can anyone help me?
