I have a Belkin 4 port router that is Mac friendly but
I just cannot get consistent speeds on it. I have my
G3 DT and a PC Athlon 1700+ connected to it. The
problem always seems to be the G3 running OS 9.2 but
it does the same if I run OS X.2 but I tend to avoid
OS X. I've experienced the same problems with other
routers I've tested.

I check the speeds on the PC and it is good but the G3
DT always drops considerably. One nice feature of the
Belkin router is that it has the ability to restart
the router in the firmware which many of the other
routers don't have. Otherwise, you have to do it
manually. So I am constantly restarting the router.
For some reason, it gets bottled up on the G3. If
anyone has any insights, I sure would appreciate
because it is very frustrating. The tech support for
Belkin says there aren't any adjustments on the Mac,
so everytime I call, they always make adjusts on the
PC which never helps.
