Hi, Matt. Thanks for the advice. The owner wasn't
shady about it, just confused. The ad did not mention
the OS at all, I didn't think to ask. My first
personal computer, and it is interesting. The problem
seems to be to upgrade, you have to go step by step,
8.5 then 8.6 then 9whatever. This is what I am told.
And 8.5 seems to be hard to find. Even tho as you say
1998 was the year they changed to 8.5 and 8.6. That is
just five years ago, whew! Carl.
