I see that CompUSA has a Seagte Barracuda 80GB EIDE 7200 rpm hd with an 8MB cache, model no. ST380013A for $50.00 after a $50.00 rebate. Will that fit my computer? Wilton Hi Wilton, The drive in question will fit and work, but is limited to the transfer rate dictated by the Beige G3's IDE bus, which unfortunately is slow by today's high flying G4 and G5 towers. Fear not though. To keep it fast in your computer, I would partition the big drive so that only your boot system files reside in one partition. The other partitions would then be dedicated to work applications and data storage so that in the event you need to defrag your drive, things are easier to manage that way. Use Drive Setup for 9 or Drive Utility in X to set your drive up. David. -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
