I've set up my online registration at least 4 times. Seems like if you unsub from their newsletter they kill your access to the support site? Only thing I can think of. Else there's an inactivity period after which you get culled as well. I'm still in their dbase if I phone in. I give up. I'nm not going to give them $ anymore if they can't make it easy to get point releases. I haven't seen my original Cd in months, it's in a box somewhere, I'm just not going to keep jumping through their hoops when they seem feel fit to close my access to items I've repeatedly paid for. >But, if your SCSI adapter isn't being recognized by the system, you're >not going to get any software to work with your burners. The applicable >kernel extension is > > /System/Library/Extensions/Adaptec290X-2930.kext I did put the Adaptec software on, but I'm pretty sure that was after the ASP still showed "unknown device" for the card. the .kext is indeed there but mod is of the dat eI ran the Adaptec installer. I have an older untouched copy from a different boot volume but I can't overwrite he one with the other, yet, I have to change permissions etc. still. I will compare ROM versions on the card to yours, too. thanks, Brian -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
