==>Silence (well there was a boing and a promising 'humm' but it didn't get through to the 'real Macscene' So I assumed the cable was not quite right I wanted to combine the zipdrive with the 2nd 'upstairs' HDD as it looked a shorter way but the original cable didn't reach either (like 1/2 cm short...!) So I left it there and put all back to what it was before. (well I gave up because I cut my thumb and bled all over the computer! so I went in search for a plaster then I gave up and put it all back as it was before) I can see there is a possibility of Nocando. A better option may be to use a ATA card. But that seems a bit of a waste as there is no room for more than 2 HDD in a DT.
But it should go faster?
I will try the longer cable first. (AND top up the first aid kit too!)
Many Thanks for all replies

I ran into the same problem. I found longer cables, but then I never could get it to see both drives consistently. (I read somewhere that you can't go longer than about 18"???) I finally just got a bigger drive and went with just the one.
