Jack I have seen/tried to use the following USB extensions in by Beige G3/233 with Belkin 2 port USB1 PCI card: 1. USB Card Support 1.4.1 instals v1.4.1 of USB Device Extension, USB Software Locator and USB Support, and v2.0.4 of USB Mass Storage Extension and USB Mass Storage Support -- this WORKED for me. 2. MacOS 9.1 Update instals v1.4.6 of EnetShimLib, HID Library, SerialShimLib, USB Device Extension, USB Software Locator and USB Support, and v2.0.9 of USB Mass Storage Support -- this also WORKED for me. 3. MacOS 9.2.1 Update instals v1.5.5 of EnetShimLib, HID Library, SerialShimLib, USB Device Extension, USB Software Locator and USB Support, and v2.1.1 of USB Mass Storage Support -- this DID NOT WORK for me. 4. MacOS 9.2.2 Update instals v1.5.6 of EnetShimLib, HID Library, SerialShimLib, USB Device Extension and USB Software Locator -- this also DID NOT WORK for me. (Mac OS 9.2.2 installed ex factory on my 11 month old TiBook 1GHz includes v1.5.9 of EnetShimLib, HID Library, SerialShimLib, USB Device Extension and USB Software Locator, and does not include any version of USB Support, USB Mass Storage Extension or USB Mass Storage Support -- while I have never tried copying any of the v1.5.9 files to my Beige, I am certain that they would not work.) Thus it appears that the MacOS 9.1 extension set was the last to fully support PCI USB cards. YMMV -- some "mix and match" configurations seem to have worked for some people. If you don't have access to the MacOS 9.1 extension set, let me know and I can e-mail the files to you.
