My suggestion is to share peripherals between the two, the Mac and the PC, which is easy now that everything is basically the same.

I presume that you have a decent monitor so keep that, use whichever
mouse and keyboard suits you and use a KVM (?) switch, or just have
the seperate input devices if it makes too big a difference.

Network the two and you'll be able to do all your CAD on the PC and
everything else on the Mac. This is actually a pretty good setup if
one uses a Mac but wants to check things on a PC for real before
sending stuff off.

I actually have a problem which only Word for PC can sort but Office
v.X can't...
