It's really a shame, because AutoCAD is really the only app that's
keeping me tethered to the PC. There are some really good Mac apps for
everything else.

My eyes glazed a bit as I started reading about AutoCAD.


Sorry that I have not been following this thread more closely...

My sort-of-like-step-son is an engineer, and used AutoCAD in school. He uses MiniCAD7 on his Mac and said they are very similar in use. I do know that MiniCAD is not being sold anymore. Like everything else, it does crop up on ebay from time to time.

I have no idea if AutoCAD and MiniCAD can open each other's files. Who you have to share files with may be the real issue with the CAD program you use.
