If that's true, then I wouldn't have to replace the CD-RW in my Mac with a Superdrive to burn DVDs of my videos. Instead I could output from the Mac to the VCR part of the box, to get it onto videotape, and then burn it over to a DVD on the other side of the same box. Anybody see any reason why that wouldn't work?
Going digital-analogue-digital unnecessarily will only deteriorate the quality.
