Kathi8/2/04 6:54 AM Good luck. I might need your input on learning how to use a volt/ohm meter. I have wanted to get one for a long time and finally picked one up at Home Depot so I could test resistance on the fuser, but I think I got one that does not measure in the range that I need for the fuser. I am not anxious to buy a more expensive one unless I know for sure just what I want and how to use it. About Xerox, one of the first jobs I had in a print shop was making copies on one of the first Xerox machines. It was nothing more that a tray with plastic beads and toner and I rolled it back and forth to deposit toner on a charged metal sheet. Dropping the paper onto the metal sheet and fusing it without any smudges was the tricky part. The new ones use the same basic technology, there is just no manual dexterity needed now.
