Ultra2Wide SCSI (40MB/s), USB 2.0 and a Radeon 7000 PCI fill 3 out of the 4 ports, the
graphics card being obligatory of course :)

I don't want to sound like a Kiljoy, but that's a waste of a good Mac.

You could have saved yourself a packet if you'd put a 550MHz G4 in that B&W and some
extra RAM, without degrading your user experience. I only have a G4/500 in my B&W and
it does all my Photoshop/Illustrator/Dreamweaver work, of course the 1GB of RAM helps,
but even that doesn't cost the earth.

I have a Powerbook 180 that I use as a Fax machine :)

The U2W SCSI is really to speed up the swap file speed in Adobe Apps. The onboard
ATA33 is wretchedly slow for stuff like that. It also provides connectivity for my
230MB MO drive that I use for sotring photos and important data.
The USB 2.0 is becuast I have a USB 2.0 onlt external; and had no Mac with USB 2.0 (I
have a G4 iMac but it is a pre-USB 2.0/DDR model).
The Radeon 7000 replaced the Rage128 to give me Quartz Extreme support to boost the
GUI speed in OS X, and also provide more VRAM to cope withj running on my 19" CRT
better.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's SE/30s have all died. They are such great machines
but so sadly flawed. It's kinda irritating!

I have never even used an Apple // save for the Apple //e that I was given (complete
with twin disk drive and green screen) and have done nothing with...
