What else would I use the B&W for? I could combine all those functions onto one of my machines, but then what would I do with the ones I'm not using? My B&W has 512MB of RAM, and dual 40-Gig drives. It runs 10.3.4 and it doesn't feel anywhere near as fluid as my eMac does. now, given I'm still using the original 16MB RAGE 128 card in it, and if I stuck in a R7K that would make it perform better. (honestly I'm holding out to see if there really will be a PCI 9200!!) In any case I'm struggling to find a use for my B&W and my 6500 that I can uniquely say is their meaningful purpose in life. If you got any Ideas aside from selling it, I'd be happy!

What's worse is that I did not progressively purchase all of these macs! I bought a bunch of 540c laptops and caught the mac bug! I then traded an Atari 2600 w/ some games for the 6500. I bought the B&W case and REV. 2 LogicBoard from ebay and I intended to slowly build it up, but before I could my main PC broke for the last time, so I bought a eMac as a suitable substitute. I ended up finishing the B&W and now I'm stuck with these three macs with nothing to do with them aside from browse the web...

I don't do work on them, most of my work, is done at work, on PCs. I have a bunch of PCs at home, just in case...

anyways...

I have a B&W G3 450 OC'ed to 500MHz, you know what I use it for?
A print server.

I don't want to sound like a Kiljoy, but that's a waste of a good Mac.

I have a 6500/225 it runs 9.2.2 you know what I use it for?
A MSN messenger server!!!

My eMac, I use it for browsing the web, checking e-mail, and the
occasional typing things up.

You could have saved yourself a packet if you'd put a 550MHz G4 in that B&W and some extra RAM, without degrading your user experience. I only have a G4/500 in my B&W and it does all my Photoshop/Illustrator/Dreamweaver work, of course the 1GB of RAM helps, but even that doesn't cost the earth.
