Well going with a music server how about making one into a PVR/DVR.

In any case I'm struggling to find a use for my B&W and my 6500 that I can uniquely say is their meaningful purpose in life. If you got any Ideas aside from selling it, I'd be happy!

Hello,

It is interesting to read the recent posts about possible uses for Macs, besides the obvious.

Being somewhat compulsive, I have a collection of 6 G4s, one cube, one Imac, and one ibook. My wife has informed me I must get rid of some of the computers, so I will probably be getting rid of some of them in the near future. In the meantime, I am trying to think of some reason to keep them all...

Actually, I have thought of using one of them as a music server. I am using one of them just for OS 9, and one of them runs exclusively Yellow Dog Linux.

If some one has more suggestions about what to do with "excess" macs, I would love to hear them. Preferably, uses that my spouse will understand...

David
