You know I had been planning to make a MacQuarium out of an iMac but I just realized that I actually have always wanted to use a studio display instead.
An iMac would make a great decorative light-fixture.
I was given a bondi iMac with dud screen and no guts, so I cut the back of the monitor off on a rocksaw, removed the wire mesh, rubbed the silvering off the inside of the screen and reassembled it. Eventually I'll get around to fitting a light socket and say 25W bulb inside...
