Hi I agree with Len on this.

Place your bid for the maximum you want to spend and then leave ebay to the rest. do not keep rebidding.
Even if your maximum is the same maximum as the next bidder you were first and that is the rule of ebay,
Other than that just be careful I have had 2 bad experience's on ebay 1 was a g4 powerbook paid for in cash via western union
that never arrived, been over 10 months now, and the second was a 6400 that i sent to spain that the buyer has said has not arived,
So I will be out of pocket when he gets his paypal refund at the weekend.

That's life (you learn by your own mistake's)

vicki.

Vicki, bad idea paying for anything with a Western Union moneygram on eBay. Its one of the oldest scams used on eBay. Always make sure that the person you buy a big ticket item off has sold similar items before. Beware if some one is suddenly selling a G5 with a Cinema display and all their other auctions were selling stuff like salt and pepper shakers. Also beware of auctions with just stock photos or where bad english is used. Also the best way to win an auction for the price you want is to place your bid at the last moment "snipe" using the highest amount you will pay for the item. This way no one has time to outbid you or drive the item to your maximum bid you placed saving you money. If some one already proxy bid for what was a higher amount than you were willing to bid than they win the item for more than you were willing to pay for it. Its a no lose way to win auctions.
