My router (Asant FriendlyNet FR3004LC) stopped working yesterday and
for two days in a row when I get to the office and wake up the
G4/1.25, I get the following message:

"Force ShareWay IP Personal Bgnd to quit?"

After a forced shutdown and re-start, I deleted the prefs file for ShareWay.

I know that ShareWay IP Personal Bgnd is an extension which is really
a background application.

Right now I'm now using a switch and Norton Firewall in place of the
router but now I cannot get the other computers on the web through
the switch; file transfer is okay though.

My OS is 9.2.2 and the G4 has 1.25 Gb RAM.

Is ShareWay IP Personal Bgnd something I can just turn off in
extensions manager? Don't I need it for file sharing with the other
computers?
