Is it likely, or possible that my 10,000 RPM SCSI Cheetahs are not up to speed in time for the drivers to be accessed on my Beige G3 rev 1/A ROM during boot? Something like this appears to be happening. They do take a while to wind up.Two SCA SCSI drives, two new OS X 10.2.1 installs, NO boot whether it's the built-in SCSI bus or my ATTO controller but they mount and the OS X files are all accessible.
The new system boots (and therefore the SCSI drive) after restart between install disk 1 and 2 during the install and after completion but I see "Can't Open - Resetting SCSI" for a few seconds before reboot. Cold booting into SCSI or if I reset the boot drive to any other drive or CD I will lose the ability to boot from a SCSI bus again. The whole thing gets outta whack. Anyone???....
TIA,
Mike
