Not at all; many collectors are slightly insane.  Anyone who has been a
"collector" of any kind will tell you that they are/have been perfectly
willing to sell their grandmother to the Khmer Rouge to get that "must have"
item for their collection.  That's what seperates a so-called collector from
everyone else.

Right.  This is because people who frequent those forums are usually more in
tune with the actual utility value of an item rather than any sort of
"collector" value.  Though eBay is always fun to watch on the occasions
when, say, a collection of oh-so-valuable hand-painted hairnets comes up.

Me, I've always wanted to have more money than sense.  Right now, I've got
$8.73, so...nearly there!
