PayPal is not pretty. Any modern browser should be able to handle it, on any G-Mac.
It works for me on a G3/233 "All in One" running IE 5.1.7 over MacOS 9.2.2, on a B&W running IE 5.1.7 over MacOS 9.2.2, on a B&W running FireFox 1.0.1 over MacOSX 10.3.8, and on an iBook G4 running Safari 1.2.4 over MacOSX 10.3.8 -- also on a PC running FireFox 1.0.1 over XPhome.
Maybe your problems lie elsewhere.
